WE ARE

TRANSPARENT

We are fully committed to the ACFID Code of Conduct

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), of the Australian Government, run a program where International NGOs are certified and recognised for their strong governance and transparency. To date, there are about 50 organisations that have achieved this certification and tick of approval. Palmera is proud to be one of these organisations. It doesn’t come easy but it is a testament to our strong systems, processes and commitment to transparency.

Palmera is a member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID). This ensures we have a high level of compliance, governance and international best practice and is demonstrated by our full commitment to the ACFID Code of Conduct.

Further to this, our CEO, Abarna Raj, is a member of the Development Committee, a group of 8 members nominated from the International NGO community to oversee ACFID’s development policies, practices and agenda.

Complaints relating to a breach of the ACFID Code of Conduct by an ACFID member can be made to the ACFID Code of Conduct Committee via the ACFID website.

We have the tick of approval by Australian NGO Regulator
