Thirumawathy lives with her husband, who finds only 2 to 6 days of wage work most months. With no toilet and a half-finished house, she tends a home garden and contributes to a group loan to stretch what little they have. She has written to government agencies and other organizations asking for help and kept following up, hoping one day to finish the house and have a proper toilet.
