Suhanya and her husband are raising three children, 14, 12 and 7. Her husband takes any
daily wage work he can find and often travels to Colombo, but the income is not steady. Food and
school costs are hard to manage. Suhanya keeps encouraging the children to study so they can
one day find stable jobs.
