Global pressures continued to weigh heavily on Sri Lanka in 2025, and the rural communities Palmera works with feel that strain first and hardest. Thanks to our donors, staff, volunteers and supporters, we were able to reach further and do more. When Cyclone Ditwah struck in late November, we mobilised one of the most rapid community-led responses in our 20-year history, raising AUD $701,493 from the public and reaching over 54,000 people across 14 districts in the weeks that followed.
