Every milestone birthday brings an opportunity to look back as well as to look forward. As we did that, we were humbled by the blessings that we had in our life and how we can keep living our values every day into our future.
Ram has been closely linked with Palmera for a number of years, both as a supporter and as a Board member.
A couple of years ago we had the great fortune of visiting the villages where Palmera works. Sitting across from the women who have endured so much and yet, through their pain have been able to lift themselves up again, brought a tear to all of our eyes.
We listened as they shared about the work Palmera does – the women’s banks that have been set up, the savings they now have access to, the way in which they are stronger together and the income they can now access. To see the transformation with our eyes had us know just what a difference can be made to the lives of so many.
