Nrithakshetra’s Vijayadashami
Vijayadashami has always been an important tradition for the Nrithakshetra School of Indian Classical Dance. It is a time that as a school we reflect on new beginnings, and where past, present and new students come together in honour of the ancient traditions that have passed down to us through Bharatanatyam and in appreciation of our guru, Shanthy Rajendran.
This year, COVID has meant that we will be doing a virtual pooja and celebration. As we celebrate this day – the victory of good over evil – amidst all that has happened, with COVID we wanted to continue to send peace to all those that continue to face hardship.
During this time some students have requested to give gurudakshina and we kindly request that if this is your wish, that you give on this page to those in need.
Palmera will provide you an update so you can see the impact of the gift you have made. Our greatest gift to our teacher, is how we pass on the knowledge and wisdom we receive to others.
We thank you for honouring our Guru’s wish on this auspicious day and pray that these gifts bless all those who receive it.
