Himyni’s 1st Birthday

Thank you to all our donors, we have met our fundraising goal.

We have been blessed with a beautiful baby daughter, Himyni. We wanted to celebrate her first big milestone turning one with all of our family and friends.

We knew that our family and friends wanted to mark her special occasion in a memorable way. So instead of toys and clothing we asked for family and friends to donate towards Palmera’s livelihood projects.

Himyni is privileged to have been born into a country where all her needs and wants are accessible and within easy reach. We want to be able to teach her from a young age that if you are fortunate enough to have all your needs met  to look for ways to assist others who are not in the same position.

We admire the tireless work that Palmera has done in Sri Lanka and we were especially drawn towards the village livelihood projects which will have long term impacts for many people. As a family we hope to continue to follow the great work of Palmera and one day take Himyni to Sri Lanka to see the progress.
