Damayanthi lives in a village in the East of Sri Lanka with her two children. She does wage labour to pay for their food, the bills and the children’s education. For years she and kids were beaten by her ex-husband who drank a lot. Now she is in debt. Their house floods when it rains. She wants her children to study, grow up safely, and have jobs.
