Amutha, 44, lives with her husband, daughter and mother in Sri Lanka’s East. Her husband’s daily wage is not enough, so they buy food on credit to repay when they can. Debt keeps growing. She missed school but pushes her child in Grade 8 to continue. They live in a small house without electricity and hope for a steady life without debt.
